This was at the Kalakshetra foundataion, Rukmini Devi College of Fine Arts in Chennai. Prior to their school day, all of the students gather under this huge banyan tree and proceed to say prayer. Not like in America -- they don't just say their Hindi prayer because that's what most of the people are. They then say a Buddhist, Muslim, Christian prayer. There were others I didn't know, but I was really moved that they were so excepting that they'd take nearly 20 minutes out of their day to recognize all these different religions and cultures of their students. And the biggest thing was that they didn't say the prayer of just their belief. They also showed their other students they respected their religions by saying all of the prayers together.
